I wholeheartedly urge a Kodak inkjet. I’ve had other printers from different makers, but my recently bought Kodak 5250 is splendid! The ink cost is low & consumption is super low. This beyond skepticism supports their claims of the lowest cost per page slogan.

I’ve had this printer for about 3 months & like it! The prices available now have dropped recently, making it an even more logical choice.

The 5250 is All in One, (print copy, scan) & it’s wireless too. If you want faxing the next model up will do that as well. Check the net for prices & shipping deals, you’ll be surprised. I just saw it on Amazon for about $ 89. I still can’t judge the quality & value you get.

Forgot to mention customer service ( if you ever need it ), it’s terrific also.

You're probably referring to the Kodak printer. The refill cartridges are cheaper. However I am not sure the ink refills print as many pages. I guess the bottom line is, you can't win for losing. And oh yes I am here in the southeastern US.

No but some companies will make a generic driver that will run multiple versions of their printers.

triple capacity cartridges under $3 and 11 free every month. I’ve been doing this for nearly a year. I have an NX200, NX415 and workforce 500 which all take the same cartridges.

If you are using windows 7 then plug in your printer to your computer through USB and thrash on. Windows will recognize and install the driver automatically. But you will be able to perform basic functions only.
If you want the complete functions, then go to Hp site and download the software according to your operating system, by going to Hp support centre. Its free.

With nearly all printers you can download the printer driver from the manufacturer’s support web site. Usually you can navigate to the manufacturer’s site and click on support. You’ll then find instructions to get drivers.

Well you can buy a Parallel to USB cable.

This way you can have your pick of whatever you want, The USB plugs into the printer and the Parallel plugs into your computer.

Cable will run you about 15 dollars or so, And they work really excellent.
